The Acadiana Po-boy Festival is an annual event celebrating the po-boy sandwich. Since 2017, I’ve been honored to be featured as the official artist of the festival. That title allowed me the privilege of creating an original painting for each festival. The painting itself is auctioned off to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters and the image is then used as a poster to commemorate the event.
For this years image, I was inspired by the everyday people: chefs, farmers, fishermen and musicians who daily work not only provides ingredients for the po-boy but creates the foundation of Louisiana culture. I’m proud to be from South Louisiana and proud to be a part of such a worthy event.
